Julia, Assistante Supply Chain. Elle se tient droite derrière un fond gris.

What is your position at JPAC?

I am a Supply Chain Assistant Apprentice at JPAC

What does a Supply Chain Assistant do?

I am part of the ADV–ADA team and provide support on the logistics side. On a day-to-day basis, I contribute to the smooth running of operations: order tracking, transport documentation management, handling claims, and sourcing new service providers.

My role is to support the team by ensuring smooth communication flows and a reliable organisation, in order to best meet our customers’ needs.

What skills are required for your position?

First and foremost, I would say responsiveness, as well as the ability to adapt quickly to unexpected situations. Whether it’s a missing parcel or a delayed delivery, it’s essential to stay calm and find the most suitable solution.

Communication is also key, as we often coordinate between carriers, suppliers and customers. This is a role where precision and strong organisational skills are essential.

Can you tell us about your professional background?

After completing a scientific high school diploma, I went on to study Languages (LLCE), followed by a BTS in International Trade. I then obtained a professional bachelor’s degree in International Project Management.

Today, I am continuing this path with the first year of a Master’s degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management at IESEG.
A somewhat hybrid journey… but one that truly makes sense today.

Why did you decide to work in the agri-food industry?

I had already had a previous experience in the sector—and I absolutely loved it! It’s concrete, dynamic and fast-paced. You can really see the outcome of your work. And honestly, I never say no to tasting new products.

What does a typical day look like for you?

I usually start by reviewing my emails and identifying the day’s priorities. Then I organise my schedule around orders, transport files, required documents, as well as any unexpected issues that may arise. No two days are ever the same.

I also regularly check in with my team, which means constantly organising and adjusting my schedule.

What motivates you in your work?

Feeling useful and seeing the tangible impact of my work is very motivating for me. And of course, seeing my own progress.

I really appreciate having the opportunity to give meaning to my studies through this role: it allows me to apply what I learn in class to real-life situations and to improve every day.

Do you have a work-related story to share with us?

I once had to call back a carrier who was known to be a bit “tough”. I spent a few minutes mentally preparing myself… only to end up speaking with someone extremely cooperative. Proof that sometimes we imagine difficulties that don’t actually exist.

Why did you choose to work at JPAC?

For the human aspect without hesitation. Even as an apprentice, I’m fully involved in missions, integrated into the team, and truly valued… and that makes all the difference.

I’m fortunate to be supported and guided so that I can progress quickly.

What’s your favorite JPAC product?

I always hesitate between the cassata cakes and… many other things, actually. But let’s say the hazelnut cassata: I love desserts, and it was a real discovery when I joined JPAC.

What’s your ideal menu?

A fresh starter like a carpaccio. Then a rich, creamy risotto as a main course, followed by a frozen dessert to end on a sweet note. Simple, effective—I’ll never get tired of it.
